WORSHIP – Open In Prayer

Whether you’re worshipping alone, or during church worship, it’s important to open your worship time in prayer. Thank God for the many blessings He has given you. Ask for forgiveness in the areas that you’ve messed up in. Although God is already present, welcome Him!
When you arrive home after a hard day’s work, do you like to be greeted with a hug and a smile? Do you like the aroma of dinner baking in the oven and the squeals of the kids as they get excited to see you? Imagine how God feels when we take the time to greet Him and we get excited about spending time with Him! In your daily prayer, welcome Him!
A simple chorus comes to mind that can be offered as a prayer in preparation for worship:
“Lord prepare me to be a sanctuary
Pure and holy, tried and true
With thanksgiving, I’ll be a living
Sanctuary for you.”
